Páris Bogéa
Painting and drawing were and are an important part of the young Brazilian artist Paris Bogea‘s life. They allow him to evade for hours in the world of colors and shapes. He has always tried to give a certain movement to the paintings, to give a sensation of dance or even of a violence contained or appeased by the so-called ”distant” colors like blue or purple, for example, and raised by passionate colors like red and yellow. Painting is a way of telling my life and my past experiences. It can also be an assembly of a whole cultural background of the various trips that he has undertaken in several countries such as Spain, Brazil, France, and Greece. He communicates through a range of symbols of the Brazilian folklore or sometimes symbols he invented when inspired by certain artifacts from African countries or from the native Brazilian indians. Having spent part of his childhood and adolescence in France, Paris Bogea says that not only Brazil but also France has always been too present in his work. But more recently, after having spent some years in Grecce, his paintings show the evidence of the Greek themes in his new works:”I like to enhance the culture of these three countries so different and so similar at the same time”.
Paris has already participated in exhibitions in Brazil, France, Spain and Greece.
