The guitarist and singer Gahuer Carrasco possess great virtuosity and expression that had conquested the world, with his music and his differed repertoire.
At the age of 14,he started his studies with his uncle Baltazar Pereyra, that culminated with the conclusion of the Superior Course of Music, bachelor' s degree in guitar, obtaining the first place with honors.
Gahuer has detached in the musical scene, carrying trought tours in several sities in Mexico, when was received with a diplomatic ceremony, for the governor of the State of Hidalgo, lImo. Sr. Manuel Angel Nuñes Soto.
As recognition of his talent, he received the invitation to return to the country, interpret a concert as soloist of the Symphony Orchestra from the State of Hidalgo - Mexico.
In Uruguay, he was presented on Cabildo of Montevideu, old Palace of Government. Where participated of the television program "Guitarristas y sus Interpretes".
In Sao Paulo, the biggest city of South America, he presented in diverses theatres and concert rooms, getting an extraordinary recognition on the part of critics, musicians and listeners.
Gahuer gained several prizes: 1°place in the XXI Latin American Competition "Rosa Mistica", carried through in Curitiba - PR,1° place in the 5°lntemational Competition of Interpretation "Cezar Cortinas", Uruguay, among others.
Gahuer has worked as a jury, musician and teacher of Masterclass of some festivais: XXII Latin American Competition "Rosa Mistica", PR, Brazil, "11I Competition of instrumental Interpretation, Francisco Beltrão, Brazil; Ramón Noble Festival in the city of Pachuca, Mexico; Festival in homage the Agustín Barrios, in Paraguay, getting an extraordinary recognition of the public and musicians.
For the Federal University of Pelotas, was honored with the prize "Detache Leaming in Erudite Music".
In 2006, he participated of several concerts in Spain, in the cities Valladolid, Pamplona and Madrid, getting an immense recognition from all the spanish public.
In the year of 2007,he materialized his new spectacle "Gahuer Carrasco - Tango y Flamenco", where started his career also as singer, where interpreted boleros, Tangos and Romantic Musics, together with his Orchestra of Ropes and Metals, and his group (piano, bandoneon, percurssion and guitar) ,getting a fantastic recognition from his public.
Gahuer launches in 2007 his first CD, "Expressão em Cordas"(Expression in Ropes), with great success.
Gahuer launches in 2008 his the second CD,” Pasión y Romance”, with great success.
For the posterior years, already has set appointments concerts in Brazil, Uruguay , Paraguay, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Greece, Bulgaria, Austria, England and France.
